Our fully trained surveyors provide a professional inspection service and are able to carry out comprehensive inspections for woodworm, fungal attack, rising damp and wall tie and concrete failure. They are backed up by the use of specialist laboratories when necessary, to identify the specific cause of infestation or materials failure. 

After a preliminary investigation, the surveyors will inform the client if they feel it is necessary to open areas to allow a fuller inspection. Exposure work is often required in cases of fungal attack or woodworm infestation, and may involve removing floor boards, skirtings and, if serious, wall and ceiling plaster. 

Boroscopes allow the surveyors to check the most inaccessible of areas, and in cases of damp, carbide tests may be used to back up electric meters where excessive salts are likely to affect readings. 

Upon completion of the full inspection, a comprehensive report and plan will be prepared for the client. These will indicate the nature and extent of the problem and the precise specifications required for remedial work. 

Laboratory back-up is available, where samples of brick, concrete, plaster and timber can be analysed.
